What a great way to get to know the city! BA is so big and overwhelming, but having the Urban Running Tour on my first day in town helped me get to know my way around and get acclimated. My guide, Diego, was awesome. He showed me some city sights and took lots of photos along the way, brought water, and gave me some history and cultural as we ran along. Loved it! (Tripadvisor)

TrevelingFr0mDC - Tripadvisor / Washington DC, USA
I went on 2 running tours while I vacationed in BsAs and they were great! It's a great, interesting and healthy way to see the city. I saw parts of the city that I would not likely have gone to had it not been for the running tour. Plus, I got some good exercise in during the trip (which I definitely would not have done otherwise!). The tour guides are very informative and gave a good local's view of the city.

RailroadCrossing - Tripadvisor / Seattle
This is a great way to see Buenos Aires. Our guide Diego had a great route mapped out with various stops along the way for photos and insight. He was friendly, helpful, brought water (and t-shirts) for us and even emailed the photos from our tour. Communication and coordination was prompt and professional. If you like to run and want a unique tour in BA, we highly recommend URT.

Serge / Toronto, Canada
After the first day we had arrived in Buenos Aires, we went on our 15 K run of BA with Juan. He showed us different areas of the city which allowed us to explore in the days to come. The pacing of the run was great. His knowledge and expertise of the city was incredible. He took pictures which he later sent to us. We would find out days later of the history of a particular area was told to us in the same accurate detail as Juan had told us on the run. His communication in different languages was truly amazing - his command of English and Italian differentiates him from other tours. This tour is highly recommended! Juan's warm and engaging personality sets him apart. (Tripadvisor)

adsboston - Tripadvisor / Boston, USA
This tour was the perfect tour for me. From the beginning URT was professional, responsive and accomodating. Juan ran me around some wonderful parts of the city and included a great knowledge and ethusiasm about his city and his country. The information he provided with has helped me navigate my way through BsAs in more ways than just running. Thanks URT, I'll tell everyone I know to come run with you!

I just completed a 2.5 week trip through Patagonia and ended in Buenos Aires. The Urban Running Tour was a great way to actively get out and see the city. Diego was a great guide and experienced triathlete which was fun to hear about upcoming competitions. We did the 10K run around Palermo Lakes and it was a great opportunity to run with someone who knows the area and can provide some historical facts. The running shirt that comes with the tour was also good quality. I would highly recommend this tour to see BA from an active and different perspective.

DLMEST - Tripadvisor / Philadelphia, USA
We did a 10K tour of the Palermo Lakes. It really didn't feel like a 10K because it was so much fun and you are concentrating on listening to your guide and taking it all in. Our guide, Juan was great. Great conversation, history, and pictures - he had certain spots he'd stop us at to take our pictures, and he also would stop at our request to take pictures. We received our pictures via email within a day or two. Plus, you get free shirts!

Jen / Milano
This was a brilliant active start to our time in Buenos Aires. Celia picked us up at our hotel at 8am on the dot on our first morning and we headed off into the Palermo lakes. Celia was brilliant, really friendly, chatty and pitched the tour at the right speed for our running abilities. This tour is a fabulous way of seeing a corner of Buenos Aires which is off the usual tourist trail and also gives a great way of spending some time with a real "porteño". Highly reccomended.

CADtraveller69 - Tripadvisor / Canada
Juan is a great guide, he was very friendly and punctual as he arrived at our condo in the Recoleta right on time as previously arranged. The tour was maintained at the pace you were comfortable with and he provided a lot of interesting facts along the way. It was a very enjoyable way to learn about some of the neighborhoods and we were able to return to some on our own at a more leisurely pace.

TravelfromNY - Tripadvisor / New York
My husband and I love to travel and love to run, so this was the perfect way for us to explore Buenos Aires - with a personal guide who knows the city, the landmarks, the history, and the culture, and was in such good shape, he could tell us about all of this while we ran (not to mention, he met us at our hotel and carried our waters, hotel keys, and camera during the run. Our guide, Juan, was also great about keeping a pace that was easy for us. He met us at our hotel and finished the run there as well, so it couldn't have been more convenient, and he let us choose how long of a run we wanted and which areas we wanted to cover. The conversations we had with him about the people and culture of Buenos Aires during our run were so interesting. It's nice to get that kind of insight and a better understanding of the layout of the city when you're brand new to it. It was definitely a highlight of our week-long stay in BA, a great way to start our trip, and helped us feel less guilty about all the steak we ate that week. I highly recommend Urban Running Tours and will be looking to do similar tours in other cities we visit around the world.

Travellingfreed - Tripadvisor / Des Moines, Iowa
My wife and I signed up for the Recoleta tour. We received friendly and prompt responses to our messages which made setting this up easy (we even had to reschedule to do rain). Our guide, Celia, met us on-time at the apartment we rented. She was prepared to take the run as serious or casually as we wanted. We aren't hard-core runners so we took a slower pace to enjoy the scenery and chat during the run. She did mention that she had just ran recently with a guy training for a marathon and has ran numerous races herself all over the world... very cool! We wished we would have done this our first day as a way to get introduced to the neighborhood, streets, etc. This is a good workout, a tour, a chance to get a resident's insights, and an overall great experience. If you enjoy working out this is a MUST DO while in Buenos Aires!!!

Dengusuk - Tripadvisor / Brussels
We booked our tour in advance, and it was an extremely simple and friendly process, involving a couple of email exchanges with Juan. He recommended the area to run in, based on the location of our hotel, and told us exactly where to meet our guide, and what we needed to bring. Our guide, Celia, was waiting for us on time at Plaza San Martin, and took us on an interesting 10km tour around the centre and Palermo Lakes. She was very knowledgeable, with excellent English, and ran according to our pace and tailored our tour to the sites we wished to see. It's an especially good thing to do early in your stay, so that you can get a feel for the city and tips on other activities. Payment was simple (in cash, in US dollars) and the following day we received an email with the photos taken during the tour. Definitely recommended for runners of all levels, and an excellent way to see an entire area (or areas) of the city in a short time!

Brett / Chicago
My wife and I easily booked online our running tour with Juan before we left Chicago. He was extremely responsive during our email discussions. Juan met us in the lobby of our hotel in Palermo Soho for a 10 mile run in and around the lakes of Palermo. He took pictures, carried water, and then provided us with some excellent food and ice cream recommendations in his neighborhood. We also scored two excellent dri-fit shirts! Would highly recommende for others considering a visit to Buenos Aires. (Tripadvisor)

If you are visiting Buenos Aires, this is a MUST DO. My wife and I had our tour our first morning in BA and got to know the city and see it by foot. The guide was punctual, knowledgeable, safety-conscious, and a good runner. I give this my highest recommendation, Urban Running Tours is a MUST DO for any level of runner!

Kristine & Kimberly / Chicago, USA
My sister and I were visiting Buenos Aires for vacation and also in the middle of our marathon training. After seeing the reviews for Urban Running Tours, we booked a 12k run. Diego was our guide and did a fabulous job giving us a tour of the city and showing us other parks to run in. It was also great because he took pictures of us along the way and had water! I highly recommend Urban Running Tours to anyone planning a visit to Buenos Aires. It is a unique, fun experience!

John / Denver, USA
This was a great way to spend about an hour and a half on a Saturday morning in Buenos Aires. Juan gave a great tour, and enabled me to find different routes to run around the city. This is definitely something to consider if you have a couple of extra days in Buenos Aires, and you enjoy running. (Tripadvisor)

Beth & Andrew / Pennsylvania, USA
Two days ago my husband and I met Juan at the entrance to our rented apartment for a 10k run. I had only emailed URT the day before, but Juan was very easy to work with and agreed to do a tour with little notice. He took us on a run through Recoleta and the Palermo Lakes area. It was FANTASTIC! After running with Juan, my husband and I both felt like we understood much more of the city - both its geography and historical background. I am in the middle of training for a marathon and was concerned about finding good running routes in the city. Juan showed me some good routes and explained how to extend them for long runs. Juan was also more than willing to provide additionally training routes if I need them. I enthusiastically recommend URT to anyone coming to visit Buenos Aires. The best way to get to know a city fast is by running in it! (Tripadvisor)

My Urban Running Tour was a highlight of my time in Buenos Aires. I arranged the date in advance by email, but it was raining heavily on the day so Juan called me and offered to change the date if I preferred (I accepted!) My friendly guide (Diego) met me at my accommodation at exactly the specified time and he took me past some of the main sights of the city on the way to Puerto Madero (which was a good place for a run - not too many streets to cross). We ran in a loop back to my accommodation and a couple of days later I received an email with photos Diego took during our run. Keep in mind that this is a sightseeing trip just as much as it is a run. We didn't run particularly fast (my 12k run took about 90 minutes, including several photo stops) but I'm sure Juan could arrange a tougher (or easier) workout if that's what you're looking for. I thoroughly recommend an Urban Running Tour as a unique way to see the city. I would do it again if I return to Buenos Aires! (Tripadvisor)

I was in Buenos Aires (BA) last month for business and extended my trip on both ends to see the city. I'd never heard of this concept before finding it on TripAdvisor, but I contacted Urban Running Tours (URT) via email a week before to get additional info. Juan both emailed and called me to make sure I received the information. I didn't commit to the run until the day before I arrived. I did this via email and Juan was very accomodating. He met me at my hotel on time, we discussed our route and off we went. Juan gave an excellent history and cultural discussion of the areas we were running. I enjoyed the conversation. After our run, Juan even gave me recommendations on places to go and restaurants to visit. He plotted this out on a map for me. I was so impressed with the tour and Juan's attention to detail that I signed up for another tour at the end of my trip. Juan picked a different part of the city to investigate. Again, he picked me up at the hotel, on time and we had a great time. Running is a fantastic way to see a city, especially all the rich culture of BA. I highly recommend signing up for the Urban Running Tour! (Tripadvisor)

Heather / Boston, USA
Thank you so much for the pictures and for your wonderful tour through the city. This was one of my favorite experiences in Buenos Aires. It was a beautiful morning run and the perfect way to see more of the city and keep to my training schedule. I love the concept of Urban Running Tours and wish you the best of luck with everything in the future. Heather

Myles / Melbourne, Australia
Excellent! Juan was extremly proffessional, making organising the tour very simple. Juan even helped my plan a long 35k run(marathon training) by sending me a 'map my run' route through BA. It was great to not only see the sights of BA, but also to learn something about Juan himself. What a great business Juan - with your excellent idea and great service, i am sure that many more people will run one of your tours - i know i will certainly recommend it to anyone who likes running and travel! Thanks for the experience. (Tripadvisor)

Moira / USA
Urban Running Tours was an excellent way to see Buenos Aires! My guide was incredibly friendly. She was excited to show me her city; we ran by some of the well known sites but also some of the lesser known monuments. She even taught me a little Spanish throughout our run! I will definitely do another Urban Running Tour when I return to Buenos Aires and highly recommend it! (Tripadvisor)

Kevin / Michigan, USA
I contact Juan regarding running routes around Buenos Aires, I actually went on two different tours with Juan and one of his associates. They are very professional, with quick responses to questions and scheduling. Well worth the time and money to have a good overview of the running routes. I would also suggest using the Ecological reserve as good spot to run off the streets, ( daytime only) ... If you have an hour for a nice run, go with Urban Running Tours. (Tripadvisor)

Fred / Los Angeles, USA
After learning I was going to BA for a business trip, I wanted to make the most of my one free day. I stumbled upon URT and thought it'd be the perfect way to start my trip. Juan quickly responded to all of my questions via email and I was able to reserve my tour via PayPal (super convenient!). Somehow I inadvertently made my reservation for the wrong day (oops!), but Juan was totally cool about it and even though he waited for me at my hotel for 1.5 hours, rearranged the next day's tour schedule to accommodate me. The 15k tour itself was fabulous as I was able to see and learn a lot about BA in a short period of time. We ran at my pace and stopped whenever I wanted to take a photo or just needed a break. All in all I would highly recommend that anyone heading to BA for work or pleasure find a way to fit in URT as it's a great way to see one of the most beautiful cities in South America and get a healthy sweat going at the same time! (Tripadvisor)

I emailed Juan the night before asking whether we could run the next day (I know I should be more organised!) he promptly replied saying that he could do it the afternoon. He arrived on time and we then ran for about 1 hr coverning about 10 KM. We stopped at a lot of sites where he would give some background information and take a picture. BA is so flat and the center has so many parks it is really a great city to run in. Juan speaks perfect English (he worked in the US as a ski guide at one stage) and is an engaging companion. In fact we still stay in touch by e-mail. He also had a backpack with him with an Urban Tours T shirt, water and camera. He then e-mailed me he pictures the next day. A running companion and a tour guide all in one. I would highly recommend it and wish this service was available in more cities. (Tripadvisor)

Thanks for a nice session! We liked your setup very much! It is absolutely recomendable for others! We appreciate both the T-shirts and the pictures as memory-tags for a nice morning run!

Jennifer / San Diego, California
I found URT on TripAdvisor, and it has been the best money spent so far on the trip. Juan (the owner and my running guide) was prompt, so knowledgable about the city and a wonderful running companion. He customized my run, based on my location and interests, and provided the highest level of customer support, including water, pictures, etc. I never felt rushed and he always adjusted the pace for me. He was a professional and a delight. I would HIGHLY recommend this for anyone. (Tripadvisor)

Christine / USA
I really enjoyed the run with Juan and Javier, thank you! The next time I'm in Argentina, I will look you guys up and we can schedule a longer run. I definitely want to come back, it's just a matter of when.

Joe / New York, USA
I am a runner in my 20s who enjoys to casually run when I travel. I picked the Palermo Lakes running tour and asked whether it is possible to add the metal flower in Recoleta as part of my tour and Urban Running Tours gladly complied. I had an awesome experience. They picked me up from my lodging in San Telmo right on time at 7AM and we were able to run 10km for around an hour and 10 minutes while the city of Buenos Aires was still asleep. It was during the summer but the mornings in BA are quite pleasant with a cool breeze. My running guide was Juan and he was extremely knowledgeable and answered all the questions I had about the sights and Buenos Aires culture in general. We ran a comfortable 9min30sec per mile pace and I extremely enjoyed the experience. I chose to be a client because I really wanted to run along these famous sites without having to worry about getting lost. The t shirt and water was an added bonus too! Oh and the best part was getting to do the run with a local runner/triathlete and talk about Buenos Aires and running/triathlon life here in Argentina. =)Joe PS The photos are awesome too! You can ask them to take a photo of you anytime during the run. (Tripadvisor)

Jason / Washington DC, USA
Tour today was fantastic again! Please thank Javier for me. Thanks to you for also taking such good care of me! Your reviews on Tripadvisor are spot on. You do an excellent job. My best, Jason.

Diane & David / Houston, USA
The running tour of Buenos Aires was wonderful. It was great to run around the city and have a friendly guide point out interesting sites while never having to worry about getting lost! Great introduction to BA. If you like to run or jog, do it. (Tripadvisor)

Brad / California, USA
I had a great time running with Juan. I never thought about a formal running “tour” before but I can’t think of another type of tour I’d rather take. Usually, I end up staying pretty close to the hotel when running on my travels but this allowed me to see much more of the city without the worry of getting lost. Juan was knowledgeable about the city and skilled at keeping me from getting myself run over! He was flexible about the start time and helpful in pointing out other areas I could run by myself. Nicely done!

Alena / New York, USA
I was so glad to have found Urban Running Tours!! They are a very professional tour service and an excellent opportunity to exercise while you are staying in Buenos Aires. Personable runners guide you along a customized tour of your choice at your pace. The city is beautiful, weather is perfect, and I recommend 8am runs! This is a must for active vacationers who enjoy being outdoors and staying in shape. (Tripadvisor)

Maynard / Hanoi, Vietnam
What a great concept!! An enjoyable way to get ~ 6mi in and see and hear about BA. Ran two tours - Puerto Madero and Palermo SOHO. Learned a lot about BA - it's history, culture and places to visit post-run. I have told numerous friends that when they visit, they have to reserve a spot. Hopefully URT expands to other cities, especially the ones I will be travelling to soon. (Tripadvisor)

Tijmen / Holland
Thanks Juan! It was a great way of getting info about the city! I feel fit and I’ ve learned about B.A. Good luck with your company!

Susie / USA
What a fabulous tour! Juan was an amazing and knowledgeable guide. This is a unique way to see the city and a nice change from the city bus tours. Definitely a highlight of my Buenos Aires experience.

David / Canada / 60 Years old
I thoroughly enjoyed the run. Alexis is a great fellow and very understanding for this 60 year old.

Shane / USA
What a great time I had with Alexis. He took me to many great spots for sure. THe only thing I may ask is finding more areas for pictures. We only took a few and I think for many others it could be a better experience if you had more spots to stop and take a picture. Alexis was very informative on the city as well as the country. I enjoyed the run with him very much! Best of luck with your company!

Jan / Belgium / 49 Years old
Running wit Juan through the parks and streets of Recoleta and Palermo was a great experience. We did something over 9 K in good an hour, running at a relaxed pace, enabling Juan to explain lots of interesting things and between us exchanging running and other experiences. Next time I’ll come to Buenos Aires I’ll definitely make another Urban Running Tour with him.

Marilynn & Marj / Lansing MI & Chicago IL
Our visit to Argentina is regrettably over, however, there is one memory that both Marj and I will consider one of our best and that is our run with you through Palermo on our last day in Buenos Aires. It was a fantastic way to blend our love of running and sightseeing into one experience and we really felt safe and comfortable knowing that whatever pace we needed or wanted would be accommodated. We were very impressed by the service that Urban Running Tours provided from asking the right questions on the registration form so that our run could be customized to our needs to having the flexibility to postpone our scheduled run when the weather was not cooperative. Your prompt response to our inquiry and the follow-up confirmation gave us the confidence that we were dealing with a business that we could trust. Thanks again for a wonderful experience.

Marko / Slovenia
I enjoyed very much my run with Alexis. He was really knowledgable and also willing to listen to me. We exchanged a lot of information. I learned a lot from this tour. Whole setup was perfect. Next time I came to Argentine there is very high chance I will get in contact with you again. I will also recommend you to my friends that wiil travel to Argentina in the future. I really have nothing to suggest to you. Everything simply meet my expectations. Cheers, Marko :-)

Tony / England
Thank you very much for taking the time to run with me, your input and knowledge of the city was much appreciated. I would highly recommend your service to any visitors to BA as I think it is the best way to enjoy the city both from a fitness and an environmental point of view. Thanks once again. Tony

Zvika / Israel / 45 Years old
I loved the idea !! First time in all my travels I ever heard of such a thing !! Even though I travel a lot I try very hard to make daily exercise but as one can imagine it is not that easy. Of course there is always the option of a Gym in the hotel but to find a very good gym is not that easy. Also, running outside in a place you do not know might be a bit dangerous. I called Juan, we agreed to make the 10K run (which was actually 10.8 – as he said it was going to be…) I enjoyed extremely the explanations, the company and the environment; we were also extremely lucky with the weather. Well done, en excellent idea and for sure I will do it again and recommend to other travelers.

Bryan / Texas, USA / 41 Years old
Muy bueno!!! The highlight of my trip to Bs As. For even the casual runner, this is a fantastic and unique way to see a beautiful city. You must go early in the morning to see the city come alive for the day. I would recommend to all people that they run as far as they can to experience as much as possible. Hasta luego to mi nuevo amigo, Juan!!

Ann Marie / New York, USA
When it comes to tour operators, Urban Running Tours offers by far the most innovative option for sightseeing. My runs through Palermo and San Telmo were so much fun and a terrific start to each day. Not only did I get a good workout but I also learned much about the city’s charm as important monuments were pointed out and interesting facts about the neighborhood’s history were shared along the way. Should my travels bring me back to Buenos Aires, the first call I make will be to book another adventure with Urban Running Tours.
